The program was developed as a natural continuation of the Preventing Elder Abuse and builds on Marva’s extensive experience working with at-risk older adults. It aims to raise awareness and provide knowledge and tools through lectures for professionals and the general public about the gender-specific aspects of abuse and neglect among elderly women, risk factors, and the importance of a holistic, multidisciplinary approach. This approach combines legal assistance, social welfare services, and therapeutic support to effectively address the issue of abuse and neglect of older women.
