Healing Justice is an innovative program providing initial therapeutic legal assistance to individuals affected by trauma from the current war in Israel. The legal support aims to strengthen survivors’ sense of empowerment, control, and resilience through legal tools, thereby promoting their recovery process.
The program also seeks to raise awareness among the public, professionals, and support organizations about the importance of legal tools as part of therapeutic support and to promote the integration of the therapeutic jurisprudence model among caregivers.
Grounded in the principles of therapeutic jurisprudence, restorative justice, and transformative justice, the program offers practical legal solutions tailored to the specific challenges faced by each client. This approach helps enhance personal autonomy and self-efficacy, reduce anxiety and helplessness, and restore a sense of order.
The program operates in collaboration with mental health professionals, resilience centres, psychiatric hospitals, and organizations supporting trauma survivors and individuals coping with mental health challenges.
